Little H is cutting her two top middle teeth and it is taking it’s toll on her mommy. She hasn’t been going to bed until after 9pm and she is waking up periodically through the night. Needless to say, not much writing – bloggy or otherwise has occured.
I’m pushing through though. I have started work (finally!) on a query letter for an article I’ve had brewing in my brain for a long, long time. I’m taking it slow, I want it to be perfect. I’d really like to get a few freelance clips under my belt. It has been a goal of mine for a while, one I will not give up on. It might take me some time but I will get there……what goals are you working on? Share in comments.

Ooooh, I feel you! My toddler is teething right now, too and keeps waking up at 5am! AAAAAAAAAAAK!
I’m in the same boat, my nine month old is cutting three top teeth all at the same time! Thank goodness for mesh feeders, she loves to chew on ice cubes. She still wakes up twice a night to nurse anyway so I don’t expect any sleep anytime soon, lol.
You have a plan for things, and that’s so important. At least the teething process will be over eventually. Luck until then.
Hey there – nice to visit you on your page! Love the green button.
Listen, there’s a great article in the Writer (May 2008 issue) called “HOW TO craft winning queries.” It is a fantastic piece…with tons of great advice from published writers on what they’ve done to earn writing assignments…all based on their own queries. Do check it out.
Also – re: your post on taking your own advice. You are right on the mark.
Keep up the good work!
I have temporarily switched from novel to screen writing.
Jarring process.
I just finished an Act and am totally exhausted. Can hardly write another line.
Seems writing can tire you out more than hard labour….Uh, I mean labour of the schlepping kind.
I am seriously thinking of becoming a computer-illiterate shepherd.
The only HTML tags will be on the sheep.
Anybody else out there think that writing is exhausting and somehow leaves you vulnerable?
…Come to think of it, last time I finished a novel, I got divorced.
…Talk about vunerability!
My little guy is teething right now as well. He is not really fussy just very sleepy. He has been running a low grade fever and just sleeping allot.
My others were always very fussy when teething, so I know what you are going through! Just remember, they only do it once!
Margaret – yeah we’ve had a few 5am wake ups too. not fun is it?
Savonara – Little H loves frozen apple in her mesh feeder. Those things are the BEST!
Charles – thanks, yes only fifty bazillion more teeth to go
Kimmelin – off to find that issue
Glad to see you here!
Ivan – I don’t know that I feel vulnerable when writing but I sure do when I send it out into the world. Good luck to you with the screenplay!
wahm tara – wow, a lot of teethers! I hope your little man starts to feel better for you soon
