If you had a whole day to devote to creative things. What would you do? Would you focus on one thing or flit around trying to squeeze as much in as possible? Would you start a large project, or complete something in the works?
Me? Here are 5 things I would do if I had a whole day set aside:
1) Read. I would get a book and a pot of tea and sit in my comfy chair and read.
2) Paint. It’s been a long time since I pulled out my paint brushes. Something about oil paint and spirits just isn’t toddler friendly. I would enjoy putting something on the canvas – even if it was a partial piece.
3) Write. I don’t know that it would be in any sort of finalized form – but just to write freely, to get some thoughts out would be wonderful. Maybe I could finish a flash.
4) Think. I would enjoy some time alone with my thoughts. Even if they didn’t go anywhere, it would be nice to hear them ramble on.
5) Sleep. This mama is tired. A catch up nap would go a long way towards fostering creative thoughts.
What 5 things would you do? Leave a comment and share!

Isn’t it funny how NAP always comes up when us moms talk about our favorite things?
Let’s see….given the choice, with one whole day of no social interaction, I’d pick:
One thing.
I’d get down to my craftroom and start dismantling those computers. With a full day, I sure could make headway.
Of course, when my wrists starting killing me, a NAP after reading about the slutty royal court would be everso nice and refreshing.
I think I would do exactly the things you’ve chosen. I’d also add complete at least one project. There’s a scrapbook that I’ve been doing for my daughter that I would love to finish, but something always stands in my way. It’d be great to get it done by her graduation or 18th birthday, which are a month apart.
I bet I could only manage one, even with a whole day! But if I managed five things… sleep first, plus write, sew, bake, and organize some shelves. (Is organizing creative? It frees up mental space for creativity, at least!)
What an absolutely great Web site you have here! I love it! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hmm, if I could, I’d probaby catch up on some sleep. And read and write!
I just discovered your site and I love it! What a great idea. I’ll definitely be back.
As for my five things…great question. I think they would be:
1. Read
Thanks for asking!
2. Write
3. Pray
4. Write some more
5. Write even more
