On. Off. On. Off.
I have come to learn that regardless of my intentions, my creative impulses seem to have a mind of their own. They are not always on. And when they come on, it’s like I’m overwhelmed with ideas and thoughts and I can hardly keep up. How do you operate? Are you slow and steady – always on? I’m pretty much the same way…comes in waves. But I notice when I step away from what I’m working on for a while, get some fresh air or take a walk, the creative juices seem to flow better!
Definitely cyclical. Though for me it has always been by time of day too. I’d love to have my days free for creating so most of my “Play time” is at night (when I have the energy). But even before responsibilities, I’ve always been more creative & productive after the sun sets.

, mine is so off and on. At this very moment I’m trying to think about what I am going to write for Monday’s Muse. This has been a busy few weeks and the past week and the weekend were a whirlwind with my daughter graduation.

SOOOO off and on! I’ve decided to focus on inspiration for the whole month of June – doing whatever creative project I’m inspired to do, and actively looking for inspiration when I’m not – it’s what I wrote about today
I’m right there with ya. I never know when the creative mood will strike or when the muse will pay a visit. Although it’s pretty much guaranteed to strike when I have an icky something to tackle on my list! Then all I want to do is creative stuff all day long.
Of course having my creative space cleaned up might help me out in convincing the muse to visit more often – she’s probably afraid she’ll be lost and buried in the mess on my desk!!
