Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try! ~Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!
When I was a little girl, my parents bought me a huge collection of Dr. Seuss books. I adored them. I still do – my mom saved them all and now my Little H adores them too. Seuss wrote some of the most simple, light hearted books yet they are all doused with wisdom. Today’s muse is short, simple and to the point. Take some time to ponder. Think up some thinks! They don’t have to be wonderful, they don’t have to be smart. Just pause a moment to take in some wonder and roll it around in your mind for a bit.

hmmm…Neither my child nor I really cared for Dr. Seuss books but I do agree that there is lots of thinks to think in those simple books! Sadly, my brain doesn’t work that simply; it has to analyze everything and that’s not always a good thing.
It’s great that your mom saved all your books, what a treasure!
Today, I will think of bugs as the exterminator comes…
Did you ever read the Oobleck one? Still freaks me out. We used to listen to it in my parents’ car. I used to ask for it over and over … then have nightmares. Kids are weird.
Come see my new blog, k?
You know, I had just decided to start posting my little creations on Sundays, got the first one up yesterday, and saw you tweet your meme this morning! I hope my post qualifies, it’s not terribly insightful! Like I said, I just saw yours this morning, so your header isn’t on there, but I’ll get on there next week!
Loved the Dr. Seus books as a kid and my children absolutely LOVE them too. They are just so wierd that they are great! I haven’t read one in a few weeks- thanks for the reminder to pull them out!
