Twitter, I love you. And yes, I'll take $50

I want to start out with saying that I know this is off topic. This is not about creativity or motherhood. But I thought it might be of interest to those of you who use twitter and so I’ll post it here.

I don’t want this to sound like a cheesy ‘make money online thing‘ either because it’s not. But it is. You see, I made $50 with this Twittad service. And if you can make $50 too, then why wouldn’t I tell you about it?!?! Right?

The idea is you offer up your twitter background on your twitter profile page for sponsorship.  You tell the Twittad service that it’s available, for how long, and what you want to be paid.  I entered $50 for 15 days and promptly forgot about it because, I’ve never had much luck with these types of things.  The next day, it was purchased!  You have the option of approving or denying the advertiser once you see who they are.  If you don’t want to be associated with them – you don’t have to be.  The service sends out a tweet at the start of the sponsorship that says something like “XXX sponsor just placed an ad on my profile using twittad) and there is a similar message that goes out once the placement is over.  That’s it.

The ads are fully disclosed which is what I like about it.  And it was good money.  And it was easy.  I hope I can get the same results in the next bid – If I do, that’s $100 this month from my twitter profile, which was just sitting around being lazy anyway :)

* this is not a paid post (none of my posts to date have been paid ads and I don’t plan on them ever being paid ads.  Not saying it’s never going to happen, but this isn’t the case here) The links ARE affiliate links, so if you sign up through this post, I stand to make a commission. *
