I’m not yet sure if I’m going to make it to this event but it’s a worthy cause so I thought I’d post it here for anyone else local who might wish to attend. From the press release:
To help the thousands of dogs admitted to shelters each year, the makers of Pedigree® have kicked-off the third annual PEDIGREE ADOPTION DRIVE™ campaign to highlight the realities facing shelter dogs, raise funds to assist dogs living in shelters and celebrate those four-legged heroes who have found loving homes!
What: The PEDIGREE ADOPTION DRIVE™ campaign team will be in Calgary in the Kensington Business Revitalization Zone as part of a cross-country tour in support of the PEDIGREE ADOPTION DRIVE™ campaign and local shelter partners. Chalkmaster Dave will spend over eight hours creating a chalk art display that depicts a shelter dog’s journey towards adoption.
Local dogs (and their owners) are encouraged to come out and support shelter dogs and enjoy an opportunity to socialize with fellow dog lovers.
Location: Kensington Business Revitalization Zone (1141 Kensington Road NW)
Date: Wednesday, June 23rd
Time: 7:30 am – 6:30 pm

I am so glad Pedigree is sponsoring this! I hope their sponsorship brings more attention to the fact that dogs need adopted. All the best dogs my friends and family have owned were from animal shelters. They just want to be loved!
