January. You suck. And you might say ”Heather, what are you talking about? It’s January and you’ve had temps at 0C. It could be much, much worse. It could be -35C!” And I say it sucks more when it’s only at zero because it taunts me with thoughts of spring only I KNOW we have months of winter left. MONTHS. Months of snow, and melted snow, and dirty cars, and wet mittens, and heavy jackets, and bulky clothes, and runny noses, and and and winter. *sigh*
Don’t you just wanna get out of here? I know I want to run to the best family resorts out there. Confession: My family and I have NEVER been on a vacation. Like a real vacation where you fly somewhere warm and sit on the beach in the sun and drink umbrella drinks at the resort. We’ve been on road trips to visit family, but never a real vacation. Not even a honeymoon. *double sigh*

Sadly, a vacation isn’t in the cards for this family anytime soon. We’ll likely have to get through this winter and then hopefully we can go somewhere next year. I hope. Because being in Alberta though the winter (and I’ve seen many Albertan winters in my life) well, it’s no trip to the beach.
