I’ve been wracking my brain working on this project for the Calgary Home and Garden Show’s Pallet Competition.  A gaggle of Calgary’s finest (moi included) are taking 3 pallets and $125 to make something awesome.  Our creations will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to the Make a Wish foundation.  Here is a peek at my project, finished in grey-blue stain.

The bedroom project is coming along nicely and I’m just working on tying up all the ends before I reveal it all.  Here’s a peek at what I think shows the over look / feel of the space.  This is a faux butterfly in a white frame on a teal wall.  I’m going calling the space ‘faux natural’ because while there are nature inspired elements, there certainly isn’t anything rough or unfinished.

We’re bringing home a new baby!  After reviewing the Ford Explorer I knew it was the right vehicle for our family.  While the ones we had on loan were loaded to the hilt, we went with the base model to squeeze it into our budget and we bring her home on Friday!  I’m so excited to have a car that won’t leave us stranded roadside anymore.  She’s ruby red and I feel like we should name her.  Suggestions?
