Crock Pot Braised Cabbage with Sausage and Rice

Serves: 4-6
Ingredients
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 cabbage sliced
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup apple juice (I added this because I was using chicken & apple sausages...you could omit if you used a conflicting flavor sausage.)
  • 1tsp celery salt
  • 1tsp black pepper
  • 4 to 6 large sausages
  • Rice - enough for each person to have a serving
Instructions
  1. Layer ingredients into your crock pot in the order I have them listed above except the rice.  Cook on low all day or on high for 4-6 hours.  When dinner hour hits, cook your rice according to the usual method and serve on the side.
