Little H and I put this Gingerbread House together the other day. I had no idea how much joy some pre-fab cookie pieces, icing and candies could bring to a little girl. She enjoyed this activity immensely and I think we created a new family tradition!
This is an Our Compliments Gingerbread House kit from Sobeys and it was very reasonably priced, in my opinion, at $12.99. If you have self control enough to avoid eating 1/2 the included candies then there is more than enough to deck your gingery halls to the hilt. We, however, nibbled as we worked so we added in some extra large jujubes and kisses 🙂

Too cute! Sounds like a wonderful tradition in the making
I so want to make one of these with my daughter. I used to make them every year with my mom and sister. At 2.5 years old though, she would have licked everything before we got started.
Maybe in a couple of years. I’m glad you guys had fun.
We made one of these quite a few years ago. I actually have a book I’m supposed to review about gingerbread houses, but I want my oldest to do it with the younger ones because I just don’t have the patience. She’s out of town right now, but maybe I can still “convince” her to do it. I’m glad you gals had fun. It looks marvelous! 🙂

Hi there- this is going to sound crazy but I was researching where to buy our compliments gingerbread houses b/c my son has a severe nut allergy and they are suppose to be safe. Where did you find yours?? BTW too cute way better than any house we have evermade. 🙂 we usually have gingerbread tornados 🙂
It’s not crazy Melissa! Our Compliments brand products are found at Sobey’s…..which is a Loblaw’s company. Hope that helps!
